Haller Park is one of the oldest animal parks in Kenya. Located in the city of Mombasa, the Park was formerly known as Nature Trail. It used to be a quarry wasteland area and an ecological site.
Today not only is Haller Park an animal sanctuary but a much popular recreational spot for tourists and local visitors. It is home to a reptile park, fish farms, crocodiles, giraffes, hippos, the Aldabra tortoise believed to be over 180 years old and many other animals. It is also home to various plants and trees. One can call it nature’s finest abodes.
The park witnesses day trips every now and then. There are picnic spots to entertain visitors and feeding sessions with giraffes.
