Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks. Located along a small town called Voi, this park has been a must go to place for lovers of safari and serenity. The safaris here can be a one day affair or even last for 3 days depending on the traveler’s choice as well as size of the Park which is about 13,700 square kilometers.
One of the main attractions here are the red dusty elephants. Their unique color makes a good watch whether they are spotted moving in herds or drinking from a water point. The other attractions include the Tsavo Lions, spotted hyenas, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, gerenuk and of course the bird life!
Best Time To Visit: June-September and December-March. The other months however should not discourage your plans to visit as there is plenty of wildlife that can be viewed in the Park.
