Located along the town of Voi, Tsavo West National National Park (covering an area of about 9,000 square kilometres) gives exceptional views of natural scenery as well as the wildlife.
Heavily covered in vegetation and forest like scapes, Tsavo West is dry and more mountainous compared to its counterpart. As you come across the wildlife which includes spotted hyenas, wild dogs, elephants, cape buffalos, monkeys and a lot of monkeys, you will also discover the smaller treasures such as gerenuk, bush baby, hartebeest, etc.
Apart from the wildlife, visitors will come across the Shetani, meaning ‘devil’, lava flow (an ancient lava bed) and the famous Mzima Springs, a beautiful lush spring which attracts animals to drink water daily within the Park.
Best Time To Visit: June-September and December-March. The other months however should not discourage your plans to visit as there is plenty of wildlife that can be viewed in the Park.
